On a dark turbulent night without warning or forecast a hurricane came and left.

Mr. Aiken couldn’t remember the exact moment it occurred but had a sense of euphoria assessing the mass destruction it left behind.

Although the damage was extensive the monetary loss meant nothing, and for the first time in his life, he could feel the blood flowing through his veins. His only concern now was if or when the storm would return.

Amidst the insanity he reached to the floor retrieving a wooden clock blown across the room.

That’s it! It was 9 PM that catastrophic September night that changed his life forever.

Every night at the designated time he sat on the porch gazing at the heavens, cursing at the moon while praying for darkness. He watched in agony as the stars continued lighting up…
